Ended up in Singapore General Hospital on Sunday for another check up on the persistant fever.
I felt like shit.
Aches, headaches, nausea, blocked nose.
I can feel my eye swollen from all the sleepless nights.
I suspected Dengue Fever, but the Doctor said no rashes were found.
I had acute respirtory infection. (layman's terms sore throat and swelling of windpipe area)
Combined with the flu. Fever, aches, headache comes.
Given stronger antiboitics and another 2 days of MC.
My school start to call. Finally someone notice i'm missing from school.
They even mistook that I'm still in hospital and wanted to visit me.
Nope, i was given OUTPATIENT MC.
Just hope to get well soon.
A lot of things need to be done.

Had 2 days of MC.
Had non-stop fever for 3 days and 3 nights, since wednesday night.
Drifting in and out of sleep, body aching all over, visible dark eye rings and volatile temperature.
Suffering from severe effects of throat infection and flu topped with fluctuating temperatures of 38.9 degrees.
It's Hell man.
But it's soon over.

Went to my first Indochine Staff Party (to celebrate CNY and new year) at Bar Opiume, Indochine Waterfront.
Sad man, did'nt win any lucky draw prize! Prizes are attractive: 41 inch Plasma TV, Digital Cameras (from 6 megapix to 10.1 megapix), Printers, iriver mp3s,
PSPs (1 white n 1 black), wines, other electrical appliances many more..
Lucky Hung Wei got the Samsung 10.1 pix camera! Pamela got the iriver mp3 and Suzzana got a canon printer. Pam is pretty lucky to be the only part time under Madame Butterfly to win a prize. idah got a full range of Suzuki coffee but, she don't drink any coffee at all.
She gave it to me anyway, so i split it up to give some to Kay and the rest i intent to give my Aunt.
(Italian Espresso, Royal Blend, Sumatra, Columbian, Organic Coffee Power, with Cup filters too)
Still, most of us got something, even the part time staff like me got an Ang Pao! Though not as much as the full time staff, but this is probably the first company i know that gave some welfare to part timers too.

I've always wanted to try this restaurant ever since i saw it at ViVocity. Coincidentally, Idah's BF works as a Captain there, so drinks are FOC. lol.
I drank almost a bottle of wine, almost 4 1/2 glasses. (haha, no riding = can drink!)
Foods' not too bad actually, you'll see the chef walking around with chunks of meat in skewers, slicing them to your plates (if you wan them of coz).
I practically ate slices/chunks of: Beef, Lamb, Pork, Fish, Bacon.. and Garlic bread, Roasted Pineapple
There's also a salad bar for some vegetables, that's much needed after so much meat. (Carnivore, get it?)
It can really fill you up. With a price of coz, $29.90 +++ buffet. (But they charge us for only 4 when we had 9, not forgetting free drinks? Cheers to Aqram! and idah too lah)

Alright! Finally we have a Pixal Pacific gathering after 4 years?
Was a Intern back then in 2003, all of us has grown and moved on.
Well, heard the company had rounded up their business.
Not doing very well with an indecisive boss.
Went to Hot Stones for dinner.
Prices were rather hefty though. I ordered the Japanese Vegetable Robatayaki.
Not really what I expected, still it's rather interesting.
Supposed to put all the raw vegetables on the hot plate with the sauce, cook, eat with rice.
But somehow i feel that pepper lunch is much tastier and value for money.
Anyway, if you haven't got 8 Days or I-weekly do go buy one.
They are giving limited edition Poker Cards that are neat in size and shape. Cool stuff.

Went to the JJC Love Fiesta Carnival with Lilian today.
Well, bought the tickets from 2 of my ex-students.
We met at 12 noon, walked around a bit and decided we won't stay long.
Not to say it's kind of boring, perhaps we have grown out of this childhood games.
But the major factor was, messy, crowded.. very messy.
And perhaps every stall was very cramped close to each other.. ah well.
Decided to head to town for some movies.

I thought "My Summer of Love" was the most arty-farty-boring movie i've ever watched.
MY GOD. It has met it's match.
Meet, 'Big Bang Love' a Japanese film.
The ONLY thing i probably love in this movie is the TATTOOS.
I've got to work at MB at 6pm, so had to pick only those with 3+pm timings,
choices were limited, as i don't go for horror.. and both of us thinking, a Japanese film won't be too bad, and the title 'Big Bang Love' sounds catchy.
Fcuk WRONG.
"'Big Bang Love: Juvenile A' is the distinction of being the first gay film of 2007 to be screened in Singapore. It also has the distinction of being the weirdest, most confusing gay film. "
Yeah, it's M18 alright, god knows it's gay film, but even GAY film we should see some action right? again..
Fcuk WRONG.
"It's directed by Takashi Miike, the enfant terrible of Japanese cinema. His films have a cult following around the world because they often defy expectations and bulldoze conventions. Audition (2000) had audiences jumping out of their seats as a demure beauty poked long needles into a hapless man's eyes.
But this time, he might have gone too far. Big Bang Love is purely incomprehensible. What could have been a poignant tale of love between two male prisoners is riddled with too many pretentious symbols and metaphors - like the huge pyramid standing outside the Japanese prison, and the space-rocket beside it.
(Already.. WTF?)
We see a young male prisoner named Ariyoshi (played by the pretty-faced, bottom-looking Matsuda Ryuhei) who has just strangled to death his fellow prisoner, Kozuki (Ando Masanobu, who's tanned, taut and tattooed). Nobody in the prison can believe what has happened. After all, Ariyoshi was Koyuki's "bitch." They were supposedly in love.
The detectives assigned to the case start to dig into the boys' past. Through flashbacks, we see how Ariyoshi and Koyuki met in prison, how Koyuki beat to pulp any guy who tried to touch Ariyoshi, and how Ariyoshi lovingly watched Koyuki as his shirt gets torn each time he gets into a fight. So why did Ariyoshi kill him? Did Ariyoshi kill him?
Big Bang Love is filmed on a soundstage with minimal sets and props. Occasionally, the action moves to a giant CGI screen where computer effects allow the actors to stand before a Mayan pyramid and a space-rocket launch pad, staring in the sky in search of a "triple rainbow."
All these stylistic flourishes and symbolic imagery might have been easier to stomach if the characters of Ariyoshi and Koyuki and their relationship were more firmly established. But director Takashi seems so involved in conjuring his strange, peculiar images that the film fails to engage us on any emotional level.Though it lasts for only 84 minutes, the film drags like an experimentation by overenthusiastic film students.
(You bet man.. i've seen 3 people walk out in the middle of the show and 1 sleeping man on the next row...)
The actors do their best to help the audience understand their characters and make out what's going on, but the director beats them at every turn.Is Takashi displaying his genius or pulling a prank? Is this art or something else? Is this a cinematic breakthrough or a misfire? See it for yourself. Maybe you'll understand it better then I did. "

Some people are just so hard to please and plain WEIRD.
It not that easy being in the service line.
You try your best to serve every customer, every table, but yet, there's bound to be one or two WEIRD people.
I was serving a table of 8 today at Madame Butterfly, Indochine.
They looked like those typical
CONSERVATIVE Chinese locals,
(you know, those who button their polos all the way up, tuck in their shirts, think that wearing sleeveless is INDecent?)
With both hands occupied with their food, i served the food up to their tables just beside this 2 young 'nerd' ladies who keep repeating to me:
"Can you give us the rice?" x 3 times (yes. REPEAT)
So i replied:
"Sorry Mdm, your rice is coming soon, haha, I've only got 2 hands." With a smile, (yes, i smile) i place the food (Both hands with their plates of food rem?) and asked my colleague to serve the rice first.
After a very busy time, when things finally got settled down and tables are clearing, this table of 8 settled their bill and 2 of the older ladies approached me.
I was surprised when one of the old lady actually started LECTURING me.
"You should not have said YOU HAVE ONLY 2 HANDS. It's
VERY RUDE of you to say that.."
I was like, wtf, stunned, i managed a "Sorry mdm..."
But she continued,
"You should really not tell us you have only 2 hands, I'm telling you now to let you know, I'm not telling your Manager because you could be SACK because of this."
Man, i was even more shock and don't know what to say except:
"Sorry mdm x3.. thank you"
You should have seen how this woman LECTURED me.
Like a Grandma, Teacher, or some old WEIRDO. (Fingers pointing)
If i did not control my temper, i would have said,
"Mdm, if you can't tell between being RUDE and lite hearted jokes then you've got no life man, and it is so RIDICULOUS of your daughters to keep asking for rice and don't even have the logic to SEE things and PATIENCE to wait! Besides, i'm just a PART TIMER, feel free to find my Manager if you want. I do not think i have done anything WRONG to be SACK."
WEIRD People. Never felt so insulted.
Got Fcuk up for nothing.
