Mystery of the fake restaurant



Why would anyone go to such lengths to promote a restaurant that doesn't exist?

STOMPer Jessica Tan's colleague handed her this flyer about an all-u-can-eat Japanese buffet at Marina Square. Enticed, the 29-year-old personal assistant was keen to check the restaurant out but it doesn't exist! She called Marina Square for help, and was told that there's no such restaurant there.

A puzzled Jessica emailed STOMP to see what we could dig up.

STOMP contacted Marina Square, and a spokesperson confirmed that there is no such restaurant in their premises. The spokesperson also revealed that there have been similar complaints about this fake restuarant for the past two weeks.

It is no simple task to prepare a flyer complete with details about the menu's offerings. So why would anyone do it?

Is this someone's idea of a prank?

STOMPers, what do you think? Can you solve the mystery of the fake restaurant? "

Jade send me an email with this brochure attached to it. Looked very inviting, being a Japanese cuisine lover i decided to go try it out.

The day before i went to Marina Square to look for this Tokyo.Sin Sushi Japanese Restaurant.
Can't find it anywhere, not even listed in the directory. So i asked the information counter.

"There is no such restaurant. It NEVER EXIST."

A rather rude reply.

Msg Jade to double confirm the location, but she had no idea it was a hoax until she found this at STOMP. By then, i've contented myself with a nice dinner at Spagetties.

So please friends, if you recieved this attachement from Tokyo.Sin Restaurant, it's a HOAX.


Had a nice night of bowling, pool and arcade that night, however, i came across 2 police stop checks on my way home.

The first was just outside Esplanade before Lao Pa Sar.

"Shit. forgot my insurance paper."

But the officer let me through without stopping.

"Lucky"

Drove to Shell station near M Hotel to punp petrol and to my dismay, on the way out after Neil Rd, ANOTHER police stop.

This time round, not so lucky.

Was asked for my driving licence and NRIC. Questioned on where i was heading and i was like saying 'Home, Jln Bukit Merah' and the police officer for a while was stoned replied 'But Jurong West?' Lucky Kay was riding with me and obviously her NRIC states the adress Jln Bukit Merah. But because her blue IC they had to do EXTRA check. duh.

Why so many police stops on a Wednesday night?

Ladies Night?

Or perhaps it was the accident at the expressway, (the info board by the road states) perhaps a Hit and Run?

God Knows.

Felt like crap yesterday. Should'nt have board the freaking cab just to get to

downtown east in time to meet the rest to go Escape.

Bloody $17.90. FCUK.

Reached also pointless, first got jam at CTE-ECP, then started to rain, they are

stuck in Escape and we are stuck at downtown east.

By the time rain stops, we finished our lunch, managed to meet the rest in Escape

after getting the tickets from Hong Yu.
Tickets free from the MB chalet, god damn i should have just get the tickets and

come back another day to Wild Wild Wet instead. it's $16.50 per ticket!!
FCUK.

Cause I didn't even RIDE a single ride.
First time ever, coming to a theme park and never ride AT ALL.
Imagine if i paid for the $16.50 a thing called NOTHING. FCUKKKK.
Wanted so much to ride the Go Kart, but due to rain, suspended have to wait for road

to dry first. Then it rain AGAIN.

Stuck in the central square played 2 games of funfair basketball. each $2.

That's all. My pathetic 4 hours at Escape themepark was RAIN and wasted cab fare.
Should have just slept on in the first place.. ARGH.

Me and my promises. (At least i say Go will Turn Up.)

Was'nt really my day.

Started to think how can i treat myself better then always keeping others happy.
Know it will be super difficult coz that's me.

Gifts are always for loved ones and friends.

Yes, i'm calculative coz hell i don't understand why i have to work full time part

time and yet bank always stagnant. Yet, i don't want to die overloaded with stress.

well, on the better side, Happy Belated Mother's Day.
At least had a good dinner with my family at Tung Luk Restaurant in Tuas.
You must be wondering, Tuas? so ulu? Got meh?

Come on man, i have same reaction but when we reach at 7.30pm, it's like FULL.
Apparently they have buffet till 8.30.
Had to make on-spot reservation for 8.30 and we had 'starters' at the Burger King

next door. Taro Pie. SWeet.

Main course also got Taro Ring.
Dessert i ordered 'Orh-ni' (ah-ni dun get offended ah) Taro Paste with Gingko.

It's a very Taroy-Yammy dinner on Mother's Day. (Mum's a Yam Lover so does her 3

girls)

EM paper is tomorrow.
I'm like not very prepared?

Well, at least i'm updating my blog and not falling asleep.
It's ups and down working at school (cgs) recently.
Lots of politics, favourism and work.

I'm starting to take a bit easy on the work there, since, straining myself seems not to get myself anyway. Was a little disappointed hearing comments from our students about lesson is boring, staring only at monitor.(When they should be work to be working on their flash project.)

Don't understand don't want to ask.
Don't bother.
It's just Ms Jean teaching and repeating something call Flash and it's just Computer studies. Won't affect much of my grades.

Even when i emphasized on grading and reflecting marks.

Religious Harmony ZOCard competition coming up soon, dued on 31st May.


On a lighter note, i've created an opening video for CGSmedia and also revamped Wendy's blog. (still the splash of ORANGE!)

Mother's Day this Sunday.
Brining mummy out for dinner, with dad paying the bills.
BUT, gonna give mummmy big ang pao.

My holiday plans seem quite distant with seminars on 1st 2 weeks of the June holidays.
