Went to visit his hometown, Ipoh, up a mountain, in a temple where his ashes lay, together with his favourite items: Toy Bike figure, Toy Volkswagon, Earring, Vodka Bottle filled with Clips done by Yuki and.. The Sand Trooper i gave him.
I wasn't prepared to see his ashes stored this way. His ashes were kept in a 'locker' looking 'cupboard' where you can open his 'locker door' and see his ashes and stuff placed inside sealed with a transparent plastic 'screen'. Imagine a cupboard full of individual components with doors and in each, laid the ashes of the deceased. His was at lv3,no.3506.
The moment they opened the door revealing the items inside, tears just welled up. My Sand trooper will accompany Astley through his next journey. His ashes laid at a good place, high up in a mountain, in his hometown, overviewing vast trees and a lake, placed just opposite his beloved mother. Rest in Peace, my brother. May you be re-born to a good life.
Went back to Astley's 5th Sister's house for a visit and was bewowed by her 'mini' aloe vera 'factory'. From 1 aloe vera, she couldn't bear to throw away the young and so re-planted the young to another pot and there goes.
Drove another 4 hours back to Seremban and spent the next day with Yuki's family.
Went to Malacca on Sat morning and had a guided tour from Yuki's potential boyfriend. I do hope that things will turn out fine as he's a very nice chap and i think Astley would want Yuki to move on and find someone good to take care of. This guy has been in love with her for 6 years! It was like a love at first sight but he didn't dare to be a 3rd party for Yuki's previous 2 relationships. I realise that, sometimes you really need to grab hold of the opportunity when it comes. It felt like a twisted play of fate and destiny.
Let's hope Yuki mummy can accept them as one, though it takes time as she can't seem to get over Astley.
Nevertheless, many thanks to Wen Jing (The nicest Chap) for being such a wonderful tour guide, arranging for our overnight stay at a very authentic Peranakan House (The BaBa House), followed by bringing us to '8 meals' marathon. I never felt hunger!

Yeah, I have been busy again. With lots of meetings, seminars, workshops and competitions to attend to, I've fallen sick again!
Nasty cough and the usually on and off flu.
Will be attending the Adobe Web and Video Seminar at Pan Pacific Hotel tomorrow and I've just finished my lengthy Annual Report and should be starting on my GP draft but it's like no where to be seen, instead i thought i should a little blogging.
Finally after years of nagging, we are going to have an Company Dinner this year. Thought not a fabulous hotel nor restaurant, it will be a buffet, games and ktv at The Chevrons. At least THAT's better then having a mini poolside BBQ right under your boss's Condo.
I'm going to work on a tribute video for Astley next.

So here am i, in Changi Airport, mugging for exams coming this Friday.

I'm already planning what to do for friday evening. Haha.
Brought the N.E.Mation team for a studio visit this afternoon.
Southern Star Animation studio produces a children's programmes using Stop Motion and 3D Animation techniques. It is unique and very interesting to see the process. From conceptualizing of characters using daily objects from hats, bottles, cans, screws etc, Modeling and Creating of objects and Materials, Stop Motion Capture, 3D Scripting, Photoshoping, After Effects Compositing, 3D Max rigging, Editings etc.
It has been an eye opener.
What's more, one could only find employees in casual fashion, tee and jeans, dim-comfy-almost home working environment only in design, animation and production studios.
Some how, it reminds me of my days in poly.

Life's tough for 2007, now i;ve got to deal with some 'psycho' student wreaking my lab.
As spoken, I shall do a breakdown of events:
From 29th Oct - 5th Nov, the Com Club will be having training by external trainer from 9 - 12nn
Tuesday, 30th Oct About 1pm after Com Club training, students have left the lab. XXX came in to use one of the desktops and i agree. Few minutes later she went out and came back with a packet of rice. I have not seen her eating the rice and left the lab to the TA office. When i came back, she's gone leaving only the empty box in the plastic bag, grains of rice and sauce on the table. Also, a greenish chewing gum was found stick on the same table. Plus, a set of 5 gel markers from 'lost and found' has 3 missing and signs of the culprit taking the blue and purple markers to test on a sticker of the desk.
Wednesday, 31st Oct I was not in school as I went for the Adobe Education Solutions Seminar. Com Club Training still continues from 9-12nn Witnesses say XXX was the last one to stay behind and she also acknowledge that she stayed back to use the desktop until her Mum called to pick her up. Not to sure of timings. But she claims that a Malay girl has ask her if she could use the computers, and she's still there when XXX left.
Thursday, 1 Nov One of the com club students arrived early and saw the mess around the teacher's table. Things were thrown on floor. She collected the items and put it on my desk. I went in about 11.45 to find some students then i realise the mess.
- CDs flung all over - Culprit seem to have taken her time to do a 'search' - rubbish such as sweet wrappers, papers all around - Crack and 'abused' CGS 50th Anni CD with marker vandalised - Magnets missing then found on top of piano - Culprit seem to have been testing(vandalising) using pens (to see if got ink) writting on my letters, and japanese headband - Tulip handcraft cut leaving a shorter side of the tulip found inside my candy box - Ngee Ann paper clips found all over at different places - Muji Candy in a ziplock sealed bag found being cut open with candy sticked onto a CD cover and dump back to box - Basically, the area is in a MESS. - Yet when the servant (ah Eng) came to lock up the lab, the LIGHTS WERE OFF, but ALL the AIRCON WAS ON. (Ah Eng thought it was unusual for me to forget to switch off all aircon) But she didnt realise the mess in the darkness.
Witness say that XXX claims that the set of gel markers is actually hers and she doesn't want it back anymore. Which leaves me puzzled why didn't she claim it back from me in the first place. Further more, witness say she took the set of markers from her class. I'm not really angry as luckily, nothing important is missing. However, im just disappointed that our girls actually have the guts to do such a thing and no one knew!
